The Salesman wins Best Film at London Iranian filmfest.

MNA The 7th London Iranian Film Festival wrapped up last Wed. with Asghar Farhadis The Salesman winning the Best Film Award.


In Audience Choice awards, Bodyguard by Ebrahim Hatamikia ranked first by gaining 4.53 points out of 5, closely followed by Yahya Didnt Keep Quiet by Kaveh Ebrahimpour (4.48 points), Daughter by Reza Mirkarimi (4.45), It Happened At Midnight by Tina Pakravan (4.41), and Lantouri by Reza Dormishina (4.40).

In the Documentary Section, 76 Minutes and 15 Seconds with Abbas Kiarostami',compiled by photographer Seifollah Samadian, won the Best Documentary Award. The film offers amoving andintimate portrait of the late director.

Entr'acte by Mohammadreza Kheradmandan won the Best Animation, while Alamak by Hossein Darabi won Best Short Film award.

London Iranian Film Festival is the only festival in the UK that is dedicated to Iranian independent cinema. This year's event took place from 28 October to 2 November.
