Senior cleric condoles families of Samara's martyrs

IRNA - A senior Iranian cleric expressed condolences over the martyrdom of eight Iranian pilgrims in the terrorist blast in the Iraqi holy city of Samara here on Monday.

In a message, the representative of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei for Hajj and pilgrimage affairs Hojjatoleslam Seyyed Ali Qazi-Askar also offered condolences to the Iranian Supreme Leader for the sad and bloody incident and expressed sympathy with the bereaved families of the victims.

He added the incident which happened on the verge of Arbaeen, marking 40 day since martyrdom of the third Imam of Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him), Imam Hussein (AS) and Mosul liberation operation indicates that the enemies are seeking to take revenge from Muslims.

A suicide bomb went off in a public car parking in holy city of Samara on Sunday (Nov 7), killing and wounding a number of pilgrims including eight Iranians.

Two suicide bombers blew up themselves near buses of the Iranian pilgrims in a parking lot in Samarra.
