Zanganeh: Iran exports 20m liters of gasoil on average

Shana Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zanganeh says Iran is now exporting 20 million liters of gasoil on the average.

"Without any big refinery coming into operation, Iran has turned into exporter rather than importer of a gasolil," Zanganeh told a group of Petroleum Ministry officials.

He said that except gasoline, Iran is now exporter of other oil products and God willing problem with gasoline will be solved by March 20, marking end of the current Iranian calendar year of 1395 (started on March 20).

He added that Iran has joined the club of exporters of oil products.

The minister said by end of this year (to end on March 20) and based on the last three years' estimate, 11 phases of South Pars gas field will be operational.

He said operation of the new phases of the joint gas field is a big achievement.

The minister then focused on increase in Iran's oil production after the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and said, "No one could imagine last year that Iran's oil production and exports will within a short period of time (four months) increase by more than one million barrels per day. Iran's crude exports reached 2.44 million barrels per day by end of October, which is an unprecedented figure."
