TEHRAN, Nov 01 (Shana) – A Spanish investment delegation have in Iranian port of Chabahar announced readiness to lay pipeline for transfer of gas from Iranshahr to Chabahar.
The Spanish delegation, headed by Spanish contracting company ECISA/HARINSA Area Manager in Middle East, Luis Andreu Cabrera, voiced the willingness in talks with Managing Director of Chabahar Free Trade and Industrial Zone Organization Abdolrahim Kordin.
Cabrera said the ECISA of Spain with 48 years long experience and Al-Alfia Holdings, a company of Qatari royal family, are strategic partners in all technical and engineering fields in the Middle East. He said the two sides will start technical and engineering investigations and studies and then take necessary measures, if reaching agreement to that effect.
He added that the two bodies have been cooperating to implement development projects and construction operations in more than 15 countries, ranging from South America to Europe and Middle East.
He noted that the two have implemented successfully the railway, port, airport and infrastructural projects.
Kordi said foreign investment companies can implement the development and infrastructural projects at their own capital.
He said Chabahar Free Trade and Industrial Zone Organization has prepared the ground for presence and activity of investment teams from many countries and will have appropriate cooperation, consultation and coordination for license issuance.
He noted that the Spanish investment company can contribute to Iranshahr-Chabahr gas pipeline project as well as water transfer from Kahir dam, establishment of water desalination network, laying Chabahar-Zahedan track, establishment of Chabahar International Airport, commissioning of infrastructural and development projects, hotel building and construction of the residential and administrating buildings.
