Terrorism advocates to face consequences of their actions: Deputy FM
Tehran, Oct 20, IRNA Advocates of terrorism are going to face the negative consequences of their support for terrorists, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Jaberi Ansari said on Wednesday.

Jaberi Ansari made the remarks in a meeting with Brazilian Undersecretary General Responsible for Africa and the Middle East Fernando Jose Marroni de Abreu.

Certain players on the international scene are capitalizing on terrorism to achieve political purposes but they should know that terrorism will not be bound to a special region and the supporters will suffer the negative consequences of their actions, the Iranian official said.

He noted that despite efforts by certain states to show the ongoing conflict in the region as to be sectarian, it remains to be a political one and could be resolved.

Jaberi Ansari said that Iran attaches importance to its relations with Brazil and Tehran is ready to consult with the Latin American country on regional and international issues.

For his part, the Brazilian deputy foreign minister said that Iran is a key player in the region with strategic importance.

Brazil is keen to continue consultations and boost cooperation with Iran, Marroni de Abreu noted.

The official called for peaceful resolution of regional issues, adding that Brasilia is ready to help find a political resolution for the problems.
