Yemeni ballistic missile targets Saudi airbase in Ta段f
TEHRAN (Tasnim) Yemen痴 army and Popular Committees launched a locally manufactured ballistic missile against Saudi Arabia痴 Ta段f city in response to Riyadh痴 recent aerial bombing of a funeral ceremony in the capital Sana誕.

Early on Monday, social media released footage showing the missile attack against King Fahad Airbase in the southern city of Ta'if in Saudi Arabia.

According to Lebanon's Al Ahed news website, the airbase was hit by a Borkan-1 (Volcano-1), which has a range of 800 kilometers (497 miles).

The report added that the missile hit its exact target in the base, where big blasts were heard. Ambulances were later dispatched to the scene.

The retaliatory attack came after over 140 people were killed and over 525 wounded on Saturday, when the Saudi airstrike hit a community hall in southern Sana誕, where a funeral for the father of Interior Minister Jalal al-Roweishan was being held.

The Saudi missiles tore through the hall with hundreds of body parts left strewn in and outside the building.

The death toll was one of the largest in a single incident since March 2015, when the Riyadh regime began its deadly campaign to crush the Houthis and their allies and restore power to resigned president, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi.

Sana誕 Mayor Abdel Qader Hilal was reported to be among the victims of Saturday痴 assault.
