Tehran, Sept 25, IRNA - The 17th International Exhibition of Telecommunications (Telecom 2016) opened in Tehran in a ceremony attended by Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi.

Over 300 domestic and foreign companies are showcasing their latest achievements in an area covering 32,000 square meters in Tehran permanent exhibition venue.

Several companies from Spain, Slovakia, UK, UAE, South Africa, Germany, China, Japan, Sweden, France, Finland, Kazakhstan, Czech Republic, Canada, South Korea, Kuwait, Poland, India, Vietnam and Greece are attending the four-day event.

The event is indicating 22 percent increase compared to the previous year in terms of the number of foreign countries attending the exhibition.

The exhibit will run for four days until Sepember 28.
