Iran's Zangeneh hosts meeting with Lukoil CEO

TEHRAN, Sep 19 (Shana) Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh hosted a meeting with Vahid Ali Akbarov, head of Russia's largest oil company LUKoil, in his Tehran office on Monday.

Immediately following enforcement of Iran's nuclear deal with the P5+1 group of countries, also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the Russian energy giant reopened its Tehran office and signaled readiness to reengage in Iran's oil projects.

Since then, Akbarov has repeatedly voiced his company's willingness to return to Iran to develop the Anaran oil block and the Azar Oilfield, besides developing and enhancing recovery of crude oil from Ab Teymour and Mansouri oil fields.

Activities in the Caspian Sea offshore fields are also focused by LUKoil.
