Iranian athlete wins bronze medal in Men’s shot put

Rio de Janeiro, Sept 18, IRNA – Iranian athlete Javid Ehsani Shakib won the Bronze medal in the Men’s shot put – F57 event at the Rio 2016 Paralympics Games.

Ehsani Shakib in his sixth attempt threw 14.13 meters at Olympic Stadium in Rio on Saturday.

The Chinese athlete Guoshan Wu by throwing 4.42 meters away and Janusz Rokicki from Poland by throwing 14.26 meters away took the gold and silver medals respectively.

The 15th edition of Paralympic games officially began in the Brazilian capital on September 18. Iran has attended the event with 111 athletes, 88 of them are men and 23 others are women.
