Sareh Javanmardi gains her 2nd gold medal at 2016 Rio Paralympics

Rio, Sept 15, IRNA – Iranian shooting representative at 2016 Rio Paralympics Sareh Javanmardi, who had won the first gold medal for the Iranian squad in the tournament, won her second gold medal last night.

Javanmardi gained189.5 scores in mixed 50-meter pistol to rank first, thus improving the Paralympics record.

Representatives from China and Ukraine ranked second and third with 186.5 and 160.8 scores respectively.

The 15th edition of Paralympic games officially began in the Brazilian capital on September 18. Iran has attended the event with 111 athletes, 88 of them are men and 23 others are women.
