Tehran seeks to step up its military and counterterrorism cooperation with Moscow, Iran's vice-president said.

BUSHEHR (Sputnik)�� Iran wants to�improve cooperation with�Russia in�the military industry and in�the fight against�terrorism, Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri said Saturday. "We want to�develop cooperation [with Moscow] in�the fight against�terrorism," Jahangiri said at�a ceremony near�Bushehr.

He added that Tehran intends to�work closer with�Moscow in�the military sector and pointed to�the ongoing deliveries of�Russia�s S-300 air defense systems to�Iran. "The fact that Russia is handing over�to us S-300s is a sign of�deepening cooperation in�this sphere," he stressed.
