Iran, UAE ink deal on border cooperation

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran and the UAE signed an agreement to boost border cooperation.

The Islamic Republic of Iran and the UAE signed the document in the 5th joint border guard conference in Abu Dhabi.

During the conference held in line with boosting bilateral ties, the two sides investigated approvals of previous conferences and discussed joint approaches to battle maritime crimes.

They agreed to prevent coming and going of vessels which lack the required maritime standards in order to protect the environment.

They further discussed studies problems of sailors, facilitating movement of vessels, conducting maritime patrol to fight drug smuggling and coordination for maritime rescue.
