Development of Iran-Russia’s transport network is essential: Official

August 30, The Iran Project – Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Reza Rahmani stresses on the importance of developing Iran-Russia’s transport network in the areas of land, sea and air, saying Iran’s exports to Russia is not satisfactory.

Attending the conference of “Sustainable Presence in Russian Market” on Tuesday, Iran deputy industry minister said last year, Iran and Russia discussed issues like developing shipping lines, preferential agreements, and land relations.

The conference can provide an opportunity for the two countries to recognize each other’s capabilities, Rahmani noted.

The Iranian official also emphasize? on the role of private sector to deepen Iran-Russia’s relationships, saying the government is not responsible for organizing all the affairs of the two countries.

According to the Ministry of Industry’s plan, five thousand and 400 new manufacturing units will be operated this year with the aim of exporting goods to different countries, he announced.

He also referred to the food exhibition that is due to be held in Russia on September 12-15, and said the exhibition is a proper opportunity to identify the needs of this market.

Identifying the ways of participating in Russian markets and supplying Iranian export goods, Iran embassy in Moscow is cooperating with the country’s producers and business people, he said.

The conference of “Sustainable Presence in Russian Market” was held in IRIB Conference Center to provide the grounds for cooperating with Russia.
