Larijani offers condolence to Italian speaker on deaths caused by quake

Tehran, Aug 27, IRNA – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani in a message offered his condolences to Italian Speaker of Chamber of Deputies Laura Boldrini on deaths caused by the earthquake.

He expressed his sorrow for death and injury of many Italian people in the quake disaster.

Larijani sympathized with families of the victims.

Iranian government and nation stood by the Italian people in this hard time, he said.
He wished patience for families of the victims, recovery for injured people, and good health and prosperity for the Italian nation.

An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale rocked Italy’s central parts, killing at least 247 people.

The deaths were reported in the towns of Amatrice, Accumoli and Arquata del Tronto, all situated in a mountainous area straddling the regions of Lazio and Marche.
