Sari, Mazandaran prov, Aug 27, IRNA – Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi said Iran is going to launch the first phase of its National Data Network on Sunday.
Talking in this northern province on Saturday, he said the network enjoyed high quality, high speed and has low costs.
He said his ministry has been working on the project since two years ago.
The minister had earlier announced that Iran and Russia are definitely going to cooperate on designing and making a remote sensing satellite.
He said agreements will be finalized with a Russian company on implementing the project.
He said two domestic satellites are being designed for the country.
He said his ministry was working on domestication of needed technologies.
