Iran could well curb foreign threats: IRGC commander

Tehran, Aug 25, IRNA Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said that Iranian military and security forces have well been able to contain foreign threats as the country enjoys security and power despite the existing dangers in both world and region.

Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari made the remarks during a meeting with the Basij (Volunteer) elites from Hamedan province in west of Iran.

Iran's 1979 Islamic Revolution is developing beyond the borders, the commander said while talking of Iran's anti-hegemony movements.

He further stressed importance of keeping military and defense forces prepared.

Iran has turned into a role model of security for other countries, said the commander, adding Iran today is the most secure country that no one is able to do anything against its security.
