Erdogan can visit Tehran whenever he wishes, says Iran envoy

TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian envoy to Turkey Mohammad-Ebrahim Taherian-Fard said that Turkish Presidnet Recep Tayyip-Erdogan can visit Iran whenever he wishes so.




He also said that Iran has lifted ban for travel to Turkey.


Turkey has said that the state of emergency is only for Turkish nationals and thecountry is making efforts to provide welfare for tourists, he told ISNA in an exclusive interview.


He also said that Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani and Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Countries Hossein Jaberi-Ansari are going to visit Turkey soon to discuss regional matters.


He also said that Iran and Turkey are going to expand the volume of trade exchanges to $30 billion.


Elsewhere, regarding possibility of holding trilateral meeting among Iran, Russia and Turkey and visit of Erdogan to Iran, he said, Turkish president can visit Iran whenever he wishes so. However, regarding the trilateral meeting, I believe that we should not be confined to limited bilateral or trilateral packages. We are after effective agreement to settle regional crisis.


We believe that Turkey is an effective member of the region. First of all, there should be an agreement among regional states to pave the way for collaborative cooperation. Therefore, the consensus and cooperation among key regional states is of considerable importance.


He expressed the hope that the humanitarian crisis in Syria should be resolved through efforts of Middle Eastern states, including Iran, Turkey and Russia.
