Ahvaz, Khuzestan Prov., Aug 15, IRNA � Italy is to build 2,000-bed hospital in Ahvaz, Chancellor of Ahvaz Jondi Shapour University of Medical Sciences Esmail Idani said on Monday.


Idani made the remarks in a meeting of the University of Medical Sciences and the Italian private sector.

The meeting aimed to share experience with the Italian party on content of the plan and feasibility study.

He said the University of Iran will assess all the studies of the Italian party on the project and announce its views within 10 days.

'Italy accomplished the procedure for implementation of the project and the banking guarantees and all EU licenses by the financing bank have been provided.'

He predicted that the project will be fully completed and operational within 48 months.
