Iran oil exports over 2.5mb/d in spring

Tehran, Aug 8, IRNA Head of Plan and Budget Organization announced that Iran on average exported over 2.5 million barrels of oil per day during the first three months of the Iranian calendar that started on March 20, 2016.

The figure shows growth twice as much as it was in the same period last year, Mohammad Baqer Nobakht told reporters on Monday.

Iran exported over 1.2 to 1.3 million barrels of its oil per day last spring, he added.

After the start of 'Implementation Day' of the nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on January 16, 2016, over 5.1 million dollars of foreign investment has been attracted to the country for implementation of 66 projects, Nobakht noted.
