TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iran said that it executed former nuclear whistleblower Shahram Amiri.

�He was sentenced to death in primary court and the sentence was confirmed by Supreme Court, �said Iranian Judiciary Spokesman Hgolam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei in his weekly press conference Sunday.

He said that Amiri was charged with espionage for enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
