Iran rules out UK speculation about sending weapons to Yemen

Tehran, Aug 3, IRNA Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi on Wednesday ruled out the alleged shipment of arms to Yemen saying that specuation by British Foreign Office spokesman about sending Iranian weapons to Yemen is sheer lie.

He said that the remarks of the British Foreign Office spokesman is clear interference in domestic affairs of the regional countries in line with the UK divisive foreign policy.

Qassemi said that Iran's principle policy is to help restore stability and security in the region and that unfortunately the foreign countries exercised military presence in the region causing instability and growth of extremism and terrorism.

Qassemi underlined that countries of the region, without interference of trans-regional powers are able to hold dialogue and more interaction on good faith, mutual respect and the sovereignty rights of the governments to resolve the crises and unrests.

He, once again, advised the British officials to respect the resolve of the regional people to overcome the the crises and avoid distorting the events or misusing the regional crises.
The spokesman said that the UK officials must appreciate the intellect of the people in the region and avoid insinuation, paying attention to real roots of crises and join the collective international efforts to settle the disputes and help restore stability and security in the region away from foreign interferences.
