Tehran, Aug 3, IRNA – Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi said that principally his ministry never dwells on the personal issues of foreign officials.
He made the remarks while rejecting some latest rumors about an Iranian diplomat.
According to those rumors, the unnamed diplomat had commented about the health condition of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
‘The diplomat was misquoted,’ Qassemi said stressing that it is one of the ‘basic principles’ of the Foreign Ministry to refrain from dwelling on the personal lives of senior officials and leaders of other countries.
The spokesman described as ‘untrue’ the remarks attributed to one of the ministry advisers about the alleged ailment of the Turkish president.
