Iran, Slovakia discuss prospects for economic coop.

BRATISLAVA, Aug. 02 (MNA) Irans accreditedambassador toBratislava and Presidentof theSlovak Chamber of Commerceand Industry conferred on ways to expand bilateral relations, particularly in the economic field.


Ebadollah Molaei, who is also Irans Ambassador to Austria, on Monday discussed the status and economic outlook of the Islamic Republic and stressed the traditional and positive background of Tehran-Bratislavas cooperation. He described the current trend of trade transactions between the two countries as promising and welcomed the role of private sectors and chambers of commerce in further expansion of bilateral relations.

For his part, theSlovak Chamber of Commerceand IndustryPeterMihkwho also chairs the World Chambers Federation, highlighted his keen interest in advancing constructive cooperation with Iran both on a bilateral and multilateral level.

He also expressed his satisfaction with the current measures taken toward boosting bilateral cooperation and the exchange of high-ranking political and economic delegations between the two countries in the past few months, and voiced readiness on the part of Slovak Chamber of Commerce for holding conferences and sessions on introducing capacities and opportunities for economic cooperation with Iran in Bratislava.

Molaie had also recently held a meeting with the Slovak State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Ivan Kor?ok, where he stressed Irans position in welcoming the Slovak Presidency of the Council of the EU as a chance to strengthen Iran-EU relations.
