Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani will discuss the situation in Syria, Iraq and a surge of terrorist activity in Europe during a trilateral summit that will be held in the Azeri capital of Baku on August 8, according to the Iranian chair of the Russian-Iranian intergovernmental commission.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) � Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani will discuss in�Azerbaijan next month the situation in�Syria, Iraq and a surge of�terrorist activity in�Europe, the Iranian chair of�the Russian-Iranian intergovernmental commission said Wednesday.

A trilateral summit will be held in�the Azeri capital of�Baku on�August 8, Rouhani�s press office said last weekend, confirming earlier indications of�the meeting by�the Iranian deputy foreign minister.

Iran�s Communications Minister and head of�the Iran-Russia Joint Economic Commission Mahmoud Vaezi, on�a visit to�Moscow with�his delegation, told RIA Novosti the meeting would address the situation in�Syria, Iraq and terrorist activity in�Europe.
