TEHRAN, Jul. 27 (MNA) � Director General of International Affairs at the Parliament Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said Tehran does not interfere in the affairs of Bahrain but supports for democracy, freedom of expression and human rights in the region and Bahrain.


Responding to Bahrains�s recent act against the country�s prominant spiritual leader of Shia majority Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Ahmed Qassim, Amir-Abdollahian deemed it as a bold step.

�If the government of Bahrain takes no lessons from history and repeats its mistakes, it will undoubtedly suffer great losses,� he noted.

He said Bahrain's rulers instead of relying on strangers are better to consider their own people�s interests.

Amir-Abdollahian said that the only solution for Bahrain�s crisis is political, adding freedom of Sheikh Ali Salman from illegal detention and respect for Ayatollah Isa Qassim are necessary measures to reach a political solution in Bahrain.
