Crude transfer via pipeline up 51%

 

TEHRAN, July 23 (Shana) Director of the Pipelines Department at Iranian Oil Pipelines and Telecommunication Company ( IOPTC) Dariush Amir Sardari Goudarzi said on Saturday that in the past one decade, crude transfer through pipeline rose by 51 percent.

Goudarzi told Shana that 53 billion tons of crude and oil derivatives were transferred through pipeline in the decade.

He said up to 56,406 million liters of oil derivatives were transferred up to the distribution start point.

The official noted that 63,192 million liters of crude were transported to the entry of refineries. "A total of 119,598 liters of crude and oil derivatives were carried to the source of distribution in the year 1394 (2015-16), showing 51 percent increase."

The official said the bulk of products carried in the period included 19,316 liters of gasoline, 3,195 million liters of kerosene, 29,491 million liters of gasoil and 4,404 liters of special products.
