Mashad, July21, IRNA � Security and economic health are two preconditions for realization of the Economy of Resistance, says Iran's intelligence minister.



'Security and a healthy economy pave the way for realization of the Economy of Resistance,' Hojatoleslam Mahmoud Alavi said in a meeting of Khorasan Razavi's administrative council Wednesday evening.

'The Economy of Resistance is not going to be achieved only by slogans,' Alavi said.

'In the absence of economic security in the country, there are not going to be investments to boost production and to achieve self-sufficiency,' he said.

'Today Iran enjoys an incomparable security,' said the intelligence minister.

Under the shadow of conflicts and wars, funds are not going to be established or rehabilitated, he said.

Alavi also said that security and economic health are two principles that we cannot sacrifice one for the sake of the other.

We should not endanger the economic health for the sake of maintaining security or vice versa, he said.
