TEHRAN, July 20 (Shana) -- The sale of petrochemical products on the domestic markets passed well over 4 million tons in the first quarters of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 20.

Petrochemical plants sold 4,02mt of items on the domestic market during the period which was valued at IRR6,0581.5b.

More than 1.8 million tons of the sales were made to final consumers and the rest was traded between petrochemical facilities.

The petrochemical plants at Mahshahr Petrochemical Zone, southwestern Iran, sold some 1.4mt during the three months, earning IRR25,368b.

Furthermore, petrochemical facilities in Assalouyeh, south of the country, sold a total of 1.99mt, valued at 27,193b Iranian rials.
