July 17, The Iran Project – Foreign Minister Advisor Hossein Amir Abdollahian has said changes in Syria, Turkey and Iraq reflected the significant role of people in protecting their vote and determining their fate, stressing that coup, terrorism and Zionist are fatal poisons for the region and world’s security and stability.
Iran strongly condemned the coup attempt by Turkish military against President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said Hossein Amir-Abdollahian reiterating that Tehran’s support for Turkish president, legitimate government and people showed the country’s support for a strategically important neighbor and democracy.
Former Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs also said that recent changes in Turkey proved that coup and terrorism are two sides of a coin that have targeted regional security, stability and prosperity.
Saying that foreign-backed Takfiri terrorists have recently attempted to overthrow the legitimate government of Syria, he also emphasized that Iran strongly supports the country’s president, army and people against terrorists’ attacks.
The attempted coup in Turkey was faltering on Saturday, hours after a faction of the military used tanks and helicopters in an ill-fated attempt to end the rule of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Binali Yildirim.
There are already suspicions that the US and its allies are creating “managed chaos” in the Middle East with the aim of weakening regional countries and propping up Israel.
