Great trade opportunities outlook for Iran and UK: UKEF official

London, July 13, IRNA - Head of the Business Group of UK Export finance (UKEF) Gordon G. Welsh said that there are great trade opportunities outlook for Iran and the UK.

He made the remarks in a recent interview with IRNA which was made on the sidelines of the signing ceremony of an MoU with the Energy ministry of Iran.

Iran's Energy Minister Hamid Chitchian is currently in London on a three-day visit which is taking placet upon the invitation of his British counterpart.

Following is the full text of the interview with the UKEF official.

'Its a great moment for both our countries. Meeting with the Energy minister is a privilege to me.

I personally think it is going to be good. A lot of people thought we could do things very quickly but its always the case that it takes a bit longer to set priorities to get processes in place.

We are very encouraged by what we have seen so far, So we look forward to developing that.

I have found that when things go wrong [in Iran] people work through the problem in a calm and patient way, which I think is a great way to deal with problems.

I think there is going to be a lot of businesses to be done; We need to find the right mechanisms.'
