Official says 10 Airbus planes to be purchased

 
TEHRAN, July 12 (Shana) Managing Director of Iranian Naft Airline Nourollah Rezaie Niaraki says 10 airbus planes are to be purchased on the ground to speedily develop the fleet of the Airline. Rezaie told Shana, "This year, we are going to absorb capital, thus provide and buy new planes, raising the accountability and service level by laying appropriate infrastructures and increasing both domestic and foreign flights."


The official said flights to the oil rich south regions and islands 80 percent share given to the flights will have the Airliner priority and the remaining portion of the flights will go to the highly frequented routs.

He said cutting expenditures, increasing the fleet life span and getting rid of aging are among key strategies of the Airliner to develop safe flights and fleet.

The official said once the airbus planes join the fleet of the Naft Airliner, 1,500 more seats will be available.

Rezaie said his company conducts 30 hours/day flight to the oil rich islands and regions, including Sirri, Lavan, Kharg, Gachstaran and Khouzestan Province.

The official said many companies and countries are seeking cooperation with his company to increase flight routs.

The official said for the time being, planes are overhauled in the country by Iranian experts.

Continuing his remarks, Rezaie said education and updating of information is emphasized by his company. "To develop Iranian aviation industry, we need to cooperation with the developed state and train related experts."

He concluded that this year, 188,000 passengers were carried in the domestic routs and overseas and this year, three more flights are available, destined to Najaf, the UAE and Armenia.
