No progress without security, says Iran's Navy commander

Tehran, July 3, IRNA Progress and welfare could take place only under security, says Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari Iran's Navy Commander.

Without security there is going to be no progress or welfare, Sayyari told a group of Navy commanders and marines in the northern city of Manjil on Sunday.

The Armed Forces are responsible for providing security for the government and people, and while the security is maintained across the country, people will be able to live a peaceful life, go to school, do business and pursue a progressive life, he said.

In the absence of security, none of these could be achieved, the Navy commander said.

Sayyari then referred to the insecurities, sabotage and assassinations in the regional countries all causing hurdles on the way of more progress.

The insecurities in some of these countries have for years deprived them from making any progress or welfare, he said.
