President: Common fields' exploitation is JCPOA goal

President: Common fields

TEHRAN, July 03 (Shana) President Hassan Rouhani said on Saturday that exploitation of oil and gas common fields and job creation for the youth are among goals of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

President Rouhani made the remark in an Iftar reception, thrown in honor of officials in charge of the JCPOA.

He referred to plots to bring to zero Iran's crude sale in the world markets and said, "Of course, the country's economy should not be single-product economy being dependent only on oil. However, it should be noted that saving economy from oil needs a long-term plan."

He then referred to efforts of the enemy to minimize Iranian oil revenues, blocking banking activities, and increasing financial transfer exchanges up to 20 percent and said those were plans enemies enforced one by one prior to the JCPOA.

"Dragging Iranian file to the UN Security Council and making us subject to articles 40 and 41 of the UN Charter and the article 42 meant that the country would have fallen in a clash or military conspiracy designed by the ill-wishers."

The president said a solution to the problem is holding dialogue.

Then he said, "Today, especially the mass media and entrepreneurs should join hands and look for better ways of benefiting from the JCPOA opportunities."

He added, "No doubt, had it not been for the guidelines, supports and strong support and defense of the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, we would have come across with the JCPOA implementation."
