WASHINGTON, D.C. (Tasnim) A group of American people, including Muslim and non-Muslim citizens, staged a rally in Washington, D.C., on Friday to voice support for Palestine on the International Quds Day.

According to Tasnim dispatches, Muslims attended the Friday prayers before being joined by tens of other Christian, Jewish and Muslim activists.

The ralliers then marched on Dupont Circle in the heart of the District to show their solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian nation.

The spontaneous gathering was not funded by any organization.

Imam of the Islamic Center of Washington and an American priest also delivered speeches on the Israeli crimes against people of Palestine.

Each year, millions of people across the world hold massive rallies on the last Friday of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan to show their solidarity with the Palestinian people.

It is seen as an opportunity for freedom-seeking people across the world, regardless of their faith, to voice their support for the cause of Palestine and vent their anger against the Apartheid regime of Israel, which has occupied Palestinian territories since 1967.

Great effort. Very excited to see International Quds Day is being observed in the center of the Israeli power center in Washington DC and a number of old friend and their children are continuing the struggle. Praise God for this. God-willing the boycott Israel and other anti-Zionist measure will grow even more this year.
