TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue to stand by the Palestinian nation and never allow the International Quds Day to sink into oblivion.
Speaking to the Tasnim News Agency on Thursday, Boroujerdi highlighted the importance of massive participation in the upcoming Quds Day rallies, saying the Iranian nation, with their high turnout, will convey the message to Israel and the US that they will always stand up for the “violated rights” of the oppressed people of Palestine.
He stressed that Iran will stand firmly by the Palestinians and never let the International Quds Day fade into oblivion.
The senior Iranian lawmaker further warned that the Zionist regime of Israel and the US must stop their crimes against Palestinians or else they will receive a severe blow from the Islamic Ummah not in the too distance future.
Boroujerdi went on to say that the International Quds Day is the last and only hope for the Palestinian people to liberate the holy city of al-Quds (Jerusalem) and the occupied territories from the occupying regime.
Quds Day is held annually on the last Friday of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan during which demonstrators call for the liberation of Palestine and an end to the Israeli occupation.
