Tehran, June 21, IRNA � Ten Takfiri terrorists have been arrested in Tehran and three other Iranian provinces, following their big bombing plot was uncovered on Monday.


he foiled Takfiri terrorist plot included planting bombs, setting off remote-controlled devices and car bombs as well as launching suicide attacks, said Iran's Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Alavi on Tuesday.

Shedding new light on the recent terrorist plot in Iran, Alavi told reporters that the Takfiri terrorists have been arrested during a series of operations conducted by Iran's intelligence and security forces from June 14 to 20.

They had spotted 50 targets for their operations, the minister said, referring to the Takfiri terrorists.

Even some of the devices were ready and they were after procuring other needed explosives for their operations, he said.

So far, around 100 kilograms of prepared explosive materials and components have been discovered, Alavi said.

'By launching a complicated and covert intelligence operation, we have intercepted two tons of more explosives,' he said.
