RAQQA, Jun. 20 (MNA) � Syrian army units in cooperation with popular defense groups clashed last night with terrorist groups affiliated to ISIL that attacked military positions in the western countryside of Raqq province.


The attack was foiled in Anbaj and Zakiyeh/ Deir Hafer crossroad on Atherya / al-Tabqa road, a military source announced.

The clashes ended with thwarting the attack in addition to killing and injuring scores of terrorists and destroying a number of their vehicles, arms and ammunition.
