Iran National Library, China Central Archives sign MoU

Beijing, June 7, IRNA - National Library of Iran and Central Archives Administration of People's Republic of China inked joint MoU to boost mutual interactions and cooperation.


Reza Salehi Amiri from Iran and Li Ming Goa from China signed the MoU on Tuesday.

Amiri's trip to China aims at negotiating with some Chinese high-ranking officials such as Minister of Culture and opening the first joint exhibition between National Library of Iran and Central Archives Administration of People's Republic of China named 'Beautiful Iran'.

The MoU was written in five articles on various issues including exchange of knowledge, information, and experts, participation in conferences, workshops and training courses, holding exhibitions and joint research cooperation.

The memorandum also includes fields such as achieve science, document studies, oral history, maintenance, preservation and digitization of achieves.

Reza Salehi Amiri and his Chinese counterpart Han Yongjin in a meeting underscored developing national library cooperation between two countries.

Amiri is scheduled to visit China's Culture Minister this evening.
