Exhibition brings Iranian landscape to China

TEHRAN, Jun. 06 (MNA) An exhibition in China, Iranian Documentary, Written, and Cultural Heritage, has brought Iranian landscape beauties to the land of yellow dragon.

The exhibition was opened officially on Monday by Head of Irans National Library Mr. Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri in a ceremony to which Mr. Han Yongjin, Head of National Library of China and a group of interested public attended.

Mr. Salehi Amiri told the ceremony that the exhibition was an attempt to display only small parts of Irans beauties to the Chinese people; photos depict Irans nature, historical monuments, and landscape beauties; I would like to thank Chinese Library for coordinating such an exhibition. Iran and China haveenjoyed high-level relations either in statesmen or national levels; this shows Chinas place for Iran, and improvement of ties would provide broader vistas for both nations, he addressed the ceremony.

Iran and China are long-standing civilizations and host worlds cultural wealth; I am ensured that this exhibition will do much to deeper cultural mutual ties further, deputy-president added.

Salehi Amiri also highlighted the visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping where he had visited a similar exhibition in Iran to display to Iranians Chinese beauties and monuments and which depicted the Silk Road as a path which effectively linked civilizations of those times, and brought to our national elite the history of a country which is host to breathtaking natural beauties and diversity of monuments.

Mr. Han Yongjin who was also attending the ceremony believed the exhibition was a good opportunity to introduce Iran to Chinese; both countries enjoy 2 millennia of civilization and culture; in the 2nd century BC, Silk Road linked China and Iran where Chinese paper, pottery, and silk were introduced to Iran and Irans architecture, art, music, and diversity of agricultural products found their way to Chinese homes and cities; Iran and China have contributed much to advancement of human civilization, he emphasized.

Early 2016, Chinese government press office held a Chinese Beauties exhibition in National Library of Iran where Chinese culture, history, and art were provided to the inquiring eyes by picturesque tradition; the present event is a sequel to that event and a tribute to Iran by Chinese officials, Head of National Library of China Han Yongjin said. Such events, we believe, will contribute to greater understanding of both countries of each other.

The exhibition presents the public Irans cultural heritage, natural attractions, written records and documents, June 6-12 in entrance hall of National Library of China. The thematic categories are natural landscape, cultural and historical heritage, Iranian and Islamic architecture, historical monuments, world heritage in Iran handicrafts and traditional arts, and written and manuscript heritage.
