Commander: Iranian Navy embodiment of country’s might

Bandar Abbas, Hormuzgan prov, June 1, IRNA – Iran Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habbibollah Sayyeri said the Navy force in Iran was the embodiment of the country’s power and might.


He said the Navy displays the power of country by sending out flotillas to international and remote waters.

Making the remarks in the returning-home ceremony for the Iranian Flotilla No.40 here in this Persian Gulf port city, the commander further said that the dispatching of the Iranian flotillas out to foreign waters takes place in line with the wise strategies of the Supreme Leader in displaying the might of the Islamic Republic across seas.

The Rear Admiral said the Iranian Navy sought to establish security in the region and safeguard the national interests as providing security to trade fleet will guarantee Iran’s economic benefits.

He also said that the Navy embarks on voyages in international waters like in north of Indian Ocean especially the Gulf of Aden where pirates have an active presence.
