TEHRAN (FNA)- Commander of Iran's Basij (Volunteer Force) Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi said Israel fears that Islamic Revolution causes and ideology spread to the occupied territories under its control.

"Today the Zionists are suffering from the nightmare that the Islamic Revolution's borders might be connected to the borders of the Occupied Palestine; for the same reason they need the Takfiri current as a shield against any advancement by this thought to the borders of Palestine," General Naqdi said, addressing a ceremony in Tehran on Tuesday.


The commander of Iran's Basij reiterated that the enemy is now very afraid of the advances made by Islam and the Islamic Revolution school of thought.


General Naqdi pointed to the spread of the ideology of the Islamic Revolution in the region, and said, "This is the miracle of the revolution that a young Iraqi man who once fought against our nation for eight years, is now holding the photo of an Iranian general in the war on the Takfiri groups."


In relevant remarks in late April, Secretary of Iran's Expediency Council (EC) Mohsen Rezayee said that the US, Israel and certain regional states are collaborating to heighten threats against the Islamic Republic.


"The enemies used the former Iraqi dictator Saddam's imposed war as well as sanctions to weaken the Islamic establishment in Iran and today they are manipulating the proxy wars to accomplish the same goal," Rezayee said.


The secretary of Iran's Expediency Council reiterated that the Iranian nation will foil plots by the US and Israel.


Also in May 2015, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei pointed to certain reports on collaboration between the enemies and certain Persian Gulf littoral states' officials to draw proxy wars to Iran's bordering areas, and said, "The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps and all those Armed Forces who safeguard the national security boundaries are vigilant and awake and if any mischief happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will show a very harsh reaction."


He also dismissed enemies' propaganda on isolation of Iran, and said the Islamic Republic has always been adored by different nations and enemies' attempts are futile.
