TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian army units in Eastern Ghouta blew up a tunnel dug by terrorist groups, killing all the militants positioned in the tunnel.

The 700-meter-long tunnel was dug in Bala region in the Eastern territories of Damascus province and its detonation inflicted major losses on the terrorists.


All militants inside the tunnel were killed and their weapons and ammunition were destroyed as a result of the blast.


Battlefield sources said on Monday that the Syrian Army troops, Hezbollah fighters and the National Defense Forces (NDF) were getting ready to carry out a large-scale join operation in Eastern Ghouta to push the terrorists back from more territories there.


"Hundreds of the fresh soldiers have been dispatched to the Eastern battlefield of Damascus province to take part in a large-scale operation to end militancy in the region, particularly near the village of Hawsh al-Farah and the town of Madaya," the sources said.
