Tehran, May 8, IRNA – Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hossein Jaberi Ansari on Sunday rejected as baseless reports by some social networks about Iran’s appointment of a new ambassador to France.
‘The Islamic Republic basically has not appointed a new ambassador to France,’ Jaberi Ansari said.
‘The fabricated news in this regard is baseless and aimed at achieving certain ends,’ he said.
Iran’s top diplomat also said that the Foreign Ministry statements are the only credible source for information on such developments.
The unfounded report spread by social media in Iran also suggests that Iran’s new ambassador to Paris has been denied a visa.
