KOGAS says interested to invest in Iran

TEHRAN, May 03, (Shana) President and CEO of Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) Seung-Hoon Lee said that his company is keen to invest in Irans oil and gas industry.

Speaking to Shana, president of KOGAS said that the cooperation documents signed between National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), National Iran Gas Exports Company (NIGEC) and National Iran Gas Company (NIGC) will become fully operational.

KOGAS is interested in buying Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) from Iran, he added.

NIOC signed a deal with the KOGAS on Monday to carry out studies for developing Belal Gas Field in Iran.

KOGAS is a South Korean public natural gas company that was established by the Korean government in 1983. KOGAS has grown into the largest LNG-importing company in the world and operates four LNG degasification terminals and 4,440 km of natural gas pipelines in South Korea.
