France needs constant consultations with Iran on regional issues
TEHRAN, May 03 (MNA) In a Mon. meeting with FM Zarif in Tehran, Secretary General for Foreign Affairs and International Development of France ChristianMasset highlighted Irans important role in advancing regional developments.

During the meeting, Irans Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif underscored the positive outcomes of President Rouhanis Jan. visit to France in developing the relations between the two countries.

Iran has complied with its commitments under the nuclear agreement with the 5+1, and now we expect all sides involved in the negotiations to take practical and effective steps toward the materialization of banking transactions between the two countries, said Zarif.

The Iranian top diplomat then discussed the current developments in Syria and Iraq, saying highly sensitive events are going on in these countries. In Syria, humanitarian aids are systematically being distributed across the country, but the main problem is the extremist approaches of ISIL and Al Nusra Front which have violated the ceasefire and undermined the conditions resulted from the armistice by receiving outside financial and arms support.

ChristianMasse, for his part, hailed the positive outcomes of meetings and consultations between the two countries presidents, adding agreements reached between Iran and France in various economic areas such as aviation, railway and automobiles can have tangible impacts on expediting banking transactions and removing the existing obstacles.

He also deemed Iran an important actor in advancing current regional developments, such as Syria and Iraq, saying we need to hold constant consultations with Iran on regional issues.
