Bandar Abbas, April 29, IRNA – Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Ali Jannati said that establishment of the Persian Gulf Foundation in Bandar Abbas is a historic necessity.
Talking to IRNA on Friday, Jannati added that the foundation can turn into a major center for releasing cultural, historic, political, economic and social documents and data.
Music, dialect and historic traditions and documents are among the issues to be heeded by the foundation and the ministry will extend its full support to the entity.
Describing the popular approach and cultural diversity as the most important feature of the International Persian Gulf Festival, he said that after five editions of the event, the people have become the main organizer of the event which has turned into a national and international move.
Jannati arrived in Bandar Abbas to attend ceremony marking Persian Gulf Day which falls on April 29 when Portuguese were expelled from Hormuz Strait and Persian Gulf.
