Human rights official deplores Afghan girl murder

Tehran, April 18, IRNA- Deputy Secretary General of High Council for Human Rights Kazem Gharibabadi strongly condemned murder of six-year-old Afghan girl calling the relevant judicial authorities for investigation of the tragedy with firmness, decisiveness and urgency.

Gharibabadi said Iran is hosting around 3 million Afghan migrants and employs all its capacities to address their problems.

Offering his condolence on Setayesh Ghoreishi’s death, he emphasized the fact that there is no difference between Iranians and Afghans regarding legal procedures in Iran’s justice system.

The Afghan girl was abducted in Varamin near Tehran on April 9 by a 17-year-old Iranian boy. She was sexually abused and then murdered by her abductor.
