Russia considers Iran to be good partner in terms of oil and gas trade.

ROME (Sputnik)�� Russian energy giant Rosneft is interested in�both oil and gas projects in�Iran, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said Saturday.

"Both kinds," Novak told reporters, answering a question if Rosneft was interested in�oil or gas projects in�Iran.

It is premature to�speak of�specific projects until�Iran presents an investment contract, he noted.

"At present, there is only the understanding that it would be interesting to�take part [in projects in�Iran], but�everything has to�be examined from�the point of�view of�economic interests. And this will be done after�we study the conditions of�the contract," Novak outlined.

Russia and Iran have intensified their energy cooperation following�the implementation of�Tehran's obligations under�the nuclear deal signed last year with�six world powers to�ensure the peaceful nature of�its nuclear activity.
