TEHRAN, Apr. 14 (MNA) � In a ceremony to launch a 2,000-ton vessel of Iran�s navy in Northern port city of Anzali, defense minister praised the domestic industry for designing and manufacturing such a modern armed ship.Iranian Defense Minister, Brigadier General Hossein Dehghan, hailed the progress in Iran�s defensive industry in the ceremony to slide the 2,000-ton vessel named Gilan into the waters off Iranian northern port of Anzali on Thursday.

This national accomplishment, along with many other defensive breakthroughs, was achieved thanks to the efforts made by domestic experts in Marine Industries Organization affiliated to Iran's Defense Ministry, highlighted the official.

High automation rate, trustworthiness, advanced monitoring systems, and comfortable stay properties were among the high-tech features of the new vessel listed by the General.

Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari was also present in the event of the new vessel joining to the navy's fleet.
