TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif said that the country welcomes the process of current developments in Yemen with the aim of ceasefire.
“We hail the current process of developments in Yemen with the aim of ceasefire. From the outset, we had believed that military approach and targeting oppressed Yemenis is not the solution,” he said in a meeting with Chairman of Finish Foreign Relations Committee of Finland Parliament Antti Samuli Kaikkonen here in Tehran.
Zarif also said that new windows have been opened for finding economic, trade and banking potentials of Iran and the EU. “We hope that strong and concrete steps would be taken to materialize will of the EU and the member states.”
Antti Samuli Kaikkonen, for his part, said Finland has had friendly ties with Iran. “We are willing to take new steps to develop parliamentary, economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries.”
